About 3 months ago I decided to move to Cyprus. I went to see Mark Vurnum in November for some consultancy and kind of really liked the place…
Especially the fact that it was sunny and warm in November.
So while I was getting ready I realised that most of our life is based around accumulating things, and I was about to do the opposite – get rid of things, simplify and declutter. Great feeling. Sold my car, gave up a storage unit and gave away all the stuff in there…
Truth is you think you’ll miss that stuff but you actually don’t – at least I don’t. Tom calls it ‘mental ram’ – stuff that takes some of your attention and thinking time up everyday. Every property you own, every thing you possess… it has a ‘maintenance trail’.
I also want to share a statistic regarding how ‘happiness’ and ‘income’ are related. Below $60,000 US there is a direct connection between happiness and income, but guess what happens above? (watch the video to find out more)
Moving out here is showing to my students and friends that you can do what you want if you go after it. The internet lifestyle – is real.
keep your dreams – pursue them
to your success – if this is work, then let’s have some more of it
Daniel
PS: btw, people asked me about the music at the end of the video. It’s Peppino D’Agostino. Check him out. He is amazing.
PPS: let me know your thoughts, please comment on this post.
On my journey’s to explore meaning and purpose and enjoy the journey I wanted to escape the cold weather for a bit and went to Cyprus.
James and I wanted to meet Mark V, creator of the incredible system and hang out strategising and talking 2010…
What I loved about it so far: weather, food, making recurring passive income, working in the sunshine…. having some cool dinner conversations and meeting great IM guys….
Back in a few days… question: could you live like this…. I start thinking I could. – To be explored.
James and I both talked a lot about having taken the leap of faith and quitting day jobs to live this amazing new life of choice and freedom! bring it on!
I still owe you a update on my birthday and an apology for not doing the birthday boat party for the children’s foundation…
With the launch of Yibbies and the two 3 day workshops coming up I just felt I couldn’t do it justice….
So instead I decided to take my first in many working breaks abroad, embracing the internet lifestyle. I am here with my business partner James and both our partners….
check out the video below and please note: this is NOT a watch me I am so cool I am a millionaire BS…. it’s a concept I would love many more people to try and see how it feels for them…. for me? it feels great!
Btw, the video was done with the new ipod nano… love it… check it out in an apple store near you!
as always, please let me have your thoughts and feedback in the comment section below….
