Hello Daniel… I’m loving these videos you’re posting. My favourite river of life saying is: “don’t push the river, it flows by itself” meaning(to me)that sometimes that there is a natural rythym to life and that it’s best to let it beat to the sound of its own drum rather than trying to recreate the flow yourself… very tiring and not much use at all, in fact, a complete waste of time and energy. So don’t push the river folks, it flows perfectly all by itself.

I loved the metaphor……….. I had a roommate in college. His father was the swimming and diving coach. One day after hard day of classes we decided to go swimming. To make a fat story thin –it took him about six strokes to swim the entire length…well myself well over 25 and he was considerable faster. I certainly resonate with your idea.

That is a beautiful part of the Thames, I know it well from living in Bray many years ago, and what a brilliant theme for the metaphor of life. You could expand that into a series as there are so many situations that arise on the river (as in life) from the tranquility of enjoying the moment drifting with the current through to the drama of capsizing….
