How Being STUPID is not a problem (at least for me)…

it’s been a while. and a lot has changed. life moves at such a pace – it’s only 7 months ago I started MyInternetMarketingTutor.com! I have recorded a 6 minute video this morning with some insights about life, business and myself which is just right from the heart.

I am actually getting tired of some of what happens in my industry. so much hype and BS… I sometimes don’t even want to go on stage – but then I think if I don’t go on then there is no chance I can work with people and teach them and they will most likely buy someone else’s course who cares less and buggers off to somewhere far away after the event….

anyway. went to the gym this morning and learned a few lessons of life. Affirm the truth if you want to make progress. Success is subjective and then later on – being stupid is not a problem (as long as you are not being stupid all the time)…

Watch the video below, give me feedback or comments please.

to your success – for real

Daniel

    Hey Daniel,

I wasn’t sure if I wanted to hear about the gym… I gave it up about 18 months ago!!! :) But I’m glad I clicked the play button – what a lovely message of encouragement, not just for IMers, but for anyone really!

Thanks – and I hope your running gets better daily!!

    All the best

I loved this video. Whether it’s because I’ve hit a slight trough over the last couple or days or whatever, it’s reassuring to see and hear true thoughts via the internet that have the depth to resonate within me without having a blatant sales tag attached to them.
Thank you Daniel, I could do with more people like you in my inbox.

  • Sarah Jayne Hewitt Says:

Daniel, thank you so much for sharing this today, whilst working with people in crisis I’ve noticed, real progress can only be made when they get real about themselves and their situations. No situation is ever hopeless, there is ALWAYS a way.

Affirming the truth – is a great message to be getting out there.

    Well done.

    Hi Daniel

There’s far too much BS in the industry. It’s tiring getting so many emails promising this and that, how much they are earning, this is going to be the next biggest thing … yadada.

Just love your honesty and integrity today.

  • PETER Says:

    Daniel, Daniel, Oh Daniel!
This is worth more than any amount they charge for all those courses or seminars. Personally I think they feed on people’s endless vunerabilities. We are all seeking to get somehow rich one way or the other, at least trying to get comfortable financially and I think there are other areas of our lives that subject us to anyone promising to deliver or provide the solutions we seek.

At least you are facing and telling the truth as it really is. More of the truth anytime, Daniel. Good on you.

Guys what, I have only been doing cardiovascular for the last year! And coincidence, I am back in the gym (weights) tomorrow with a trainer so dreading it. I may well throw up!

I totally agree with your mantra of get it out there. 80% is fine to get to market. Tweak, test, split test etc. I actually now do this in my day job and it works.

Great inspiration as always, actually it’s better.

    You are rocking dude,

    Lionel

  • Lionel Says:

    All

As you can see, my English is 80% today! Hope it makes sense.

    Hi there Daniel,

Interesting Video! Thanks for sharing, here’s a bit of controversy for you…
You say “affirm reality”… does that not somewhat conflict with various principles, such as T Harv Eker’s (who I know you like) and the Law of Attraction? I think we should Acknowledge where we’re at by all means, but only to define where we want to be, and then “pretend” that’s where we already are… that’s exactly what we are supposed to do, isn’t it?

  • Gillian Says:

    Hey Daniel,

That was beautiful – to share and be authentic takes communication to another level, so often we say”I’m fine” when the non verbal messages say anything but that!

So I’m off to Pilates now – new class with Equipment not just floor exercises and as you say, I’ll be at the stage I’m at today with it.

    See you soon,

    Hi Daniel
I love your spirit. Lovely to hear from an internet entrepreneur who doesn’t just talk about money. A thought occurred to me the other day in response to that age old question ‘what is the meaning of life?’ The answer came to me quickly and was one which I had tried to put into practice most of my life but had never really tried to sum up in a sentence. So, for me, the meaning of life is… TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR OTHER PEOPLE. To love when you have the opportunity to love, to give when you can, to serve as much as you can and to try to put the interests of others before your own sometimes. If we all went about our lives saying ‘what about YOU?’ none of us would have need to say ‘what about ME?’ because we would all have enough people looking out for us, desiring to make US happy.

  • Joel Says:

I had to set my facebook status to “I’m not an idiot, I just did something stupid”.

    Brilliant.

  • Allison Says:

As a great believer of everything happens for a reason – it was rather uncanny that your video turned up today Dan. Thanks for putting everything into perspective. A great reminder to measure, evaluate and move on.

    Thanks

  • Gary Spence Says:

    Hi Daniel,
First and foremost I will say “stop being a wimp and pump some real weights and stop comparing yourself to 70 year olds”……only joking 

I enjoyed the video and you are right, you need to be real to yourself. We all at sometime, with our positive thinking, drift through life saying things are really going fine, when really they are not, and you need help. I am one of these people at times, but you need to keep going and learning from your mistakes.

I have learnt a lot since doing your course in April and put in work every day on my sites, squeeze page etc, and it does get easier once you continue doing it. What I have learnt from you and others is amazing as a year ago, I was not interested in internet marketing and I thank you for what you have shared with me.

What makes you stand out from others is that you have never attempted to be something you are not, even when I first met you at the property seminars – you have always been a trooper. Now I have expressed my gratitude, I expect you to lift half decent weights now, and if you have the real courage to come for a run and a workout.
I look forward to continue working with you

Daniel Wagner, I salute you 

    Hi Daniel

Thanks for sharing this with us today.

We have had first hand experience with the shark types out there. They take your money and run like hell. Thankfully your not like that.

Since being members of your platinum group we have come across tasks that make us feel really stupid because its something new and something we don’t fully understand at this moment in time.

However, its nice to know we’re in a place where we’re not judged by them.

Remember, we were always told that ‘you learn from your mistakes’ and that ‘Rome wasn’t build in a day’. These sayings are older than you and I and that saying something!!

    Thanks again Daniel.

    Hi Daniel …

Don’t know why but you definitely stirred something in me that resonated ? I think you made me realise that it’s normal for everyone to beat themselves up because they may feel they are/have failed in some way. Then you remind us that it is all part of life, and probably (from what I hear) even those great achievers who have become household names went through the same thing at some point and more than once on the road to achieving their ultimate goal and success … I think what you are saying is that maybe we should utilise that state of mind and emotions to challenge us into our own personal victory ? !

Miss You and the Wagner Team … hope to talk soon with some ideas in which you may have some interest/input …

    Hi Daniel,
Just going thru my inbox deleting lots of rubbish stuff when yours came up. I was about to delete but decided to give it a view instead.I was really surprised to hear something that really related to my lifestyle and realising that not everything that everyone else does goes according to plan either. I’m trying to start an online business and have been for the best part of a year now but it just has’nt happened for me yet. I’ve listened to some of the best and worst and invested a reasonable amount of my money too. You’ve reminded me that it’s necessary to keep going at something no matter what the setbacks may be. Thanks for the video. I’ll give this business another try!
    Cheers Daniel,

    regards,
    Steve Loofe (UK)

Great post on many levels, With regard to fitness (and many other things in life) it is not possible to stay at the peak but the speed at which you return to and surpass your previous level is the true measure of fitness.
On the point of affirming the truth, we have had a similar discussion before and it is why I struggle with concept of “be, do, have”. Lots of thought provoking content, thanks

  • Shade Says:

    Hi Daniel,

I have been recieving your various emails for some time. I purchased your CD set on the property habits of successful property developers (seems like a life time ago), which I thoroughly enjoyed. I have not done anything with the information as such and am not pursuing anything in particular (right now) in search of my ‘financial success’. Just earning an income and clearing my debts is my day to day reality. However recieving this video message in my inbox among the numerous emails I receive on a daily basis trying to sell me something your message was very much appeciated. It is was simple, clear and useful, a timely reminder of what one should relally be taking note of in ones life not what everyone else is achieving. Thank you.

  • Ian Body Says:

When you work alone, self-motivation is often a challenge so what a pleasant way to be able to start my day with someone else giving me a lift and a push. It also reminded me that the easiest person to lie to is yourself so “affirmation” and “truth” are very, very personal. Thanks for sharing.

  • Daniel Says:

@Tracey: Thanks for the feedback and well done for being comment no 1…

@Paul Shepherd: thanks for the feedback Paul. I am glad you like me in your inbox :-)

@ Sarah Jayne Hewitt: Sarah, you and Neil are shining examples of that very principle.

@Joff: I know exactly what you mean. I am sometimes concerned and upset about the level of BS on the stages…

@PETER: I agree Peter. It is soo easy to take people’s hopes and dreams and fears and sell them the ‘magic bullet’. I have been there… Says:

@Lionel: your english is good enough, Lionel – take it from an austrian

@Sunday: it does sound like a paradox but I think you have affirm the truth of where you stand to change which doesn’t mean you shouldn’t have a vision of your future self and be true to that.

@Gillian: thank you Gillian. I love to read work ‘authenticity’ in one line with my name… :-) I think that is all we have to be – it also takes the least effort to be who you are.

@Stephen Rees: thank you for your answer to the age old ‘Alfie – question’: what’s it all about… I like it a lot.

@Joel: Love it Joel, let’s start a group ar at least make a t-shirt… “I’m not an idiot, I just did something stupid”.

@Allison: thank you Allison. I am certain about the principles you mention.

@Lincoln + Lisa: Guys, you are awesome. You learned soo much in the last few weeks. Measure your progress against yourself only. And be good to yourself.

@April: Great to hear from you. Please stay in touch. Did you read Sunday’s message?

@Maria: Thank you Maria – I believe that ‘marketing’ should be personal and real. forget the BS – people get upset when they find out after they have been lied to. It’s in the long term true relationship we build.

@steve loofe: thanks for that Steve. I am glad you didn’t delete my message. I met soo many ‘gurus’ in the last few years and underneath they are all VERY human… keep at it, Steve. any help needed, let me know.

@Andy Lindsay: thanks Andy. I remember the conversation. There is fine line between positive future projection and being a dreamer…

@Richard ‘richinspiration’ Holmes: sorry dude, they might get longer at times… I will do a short one for you. :-)

@Shade: thank you Shade. I appreciate the support and kind words. I wish you all the best and let me know if I can assist you in any way.

@Elaine: Have a great day. Your comments have my day even better. Thanks…

@sophia: thanks Sophia. I really enjoy all the sincere and beautiful encouragement. I intend to be more of me and less of what I was told I should be…

@Ian Body: you are welcome, Ian. That is exactly why I recorded it. Sometimes it is not easy to see the person behind the persona.

    Hi Daniel

Thanks for a great, simple and “from the heart” message this morning! I have shared it on my Facebook.

    Cheers

    Ingrid

P.S. you had me worried when you mentioned “old guy on your left” – I started panicking and wondering what your measurement of “old” might be! Pleasantly relieved that it was a good 30 years in my future! Thanks ;)

Nice Words. Thank you for sharing them with us.

Like you I would also love to be a millionaire, alas it is a journey.

More importantly, it is also about helping others along the way on their own journey, none of us make money long term without helping others.

    Thanks again Daniel

  • Maxine Says:

    Hi Daniel,

You really are a gem, such truth and valuable insights there. I think sometimes we just dont “affirm current reality” as we know that once we do that we make it real for us in our life. However its only from that place that we can accept and move on.

I really enjoy your posts and messages, keep it up.

    All the best
    Maxine

Hey Daniel, I’m not so sure about your hairstyle these days but I really enjoyed your video which I just came across today – you are the best fun teacher of SEO/Websites there is. Keep smiling. Olivia

  • Vera Says:

Daniel, I liked what you had to say in your video, but I’m going to be really personal here, and you may think even a little bit mean, but I’m being honest, if personal, with YOU.
You look tired, you look dishevelled, you look unshaven, and quite frankly you look as if you could do with a good night’s sleep and an hour in the bathroom. After that a relaxing walk in the countryside, breathing in fresh air, and I bet you’d feel ten times better than half an hour in the gym!
Sorry it that’s not what you wanted to hear, please don’t take offence – it is meant kindly. Regards, Vera
