…when things are going your way and you realize that for all these years you have been making excuses then you might have a feeling of silent reflection and somber regret niggling in your mind. You can tell yourself – of course – that you wouldn’t be here without the journey of getting here, yet you intuitively guess that this so called reason would fit better in the category ‘excuses’. The frustration of feeling that years have been wasted need to be turned into something positive, something powerful, something contributing. My pledge is to educate and inspire with my life, my example, my knowledge and my gifts so that people learn that they are entitled to a great life, that they are in charge of their destiny and that their minds are so very powerful. Life change – it happens all the time.
Hi guys, just in case you are feeling sorry for yourselves or are looking for some more inspiration in your life, I have been sent this link by a friend of mine in the US…..
I have for some time now contemplated using a CMS (content management solution. (http://www.joomla.org/)) to manage my main website, http://www.secretshortcuts.com . I have finally made a start today by taking a three hour coaching session with Damien Senn. He has set up the basics for me and now it’s up to me to put the meat on the bone – or for pescetarians, the fish on the bone….
the idea is to have a website that looks professional to support my plans for the growing training business and is also easy to maintain and update. As my virtual and non virtual assistants are taking more and more of my workload and leaving me with the funload – I am looking at making the most of now, as the vodafone ad so aptly suggests. Playing to your strengths is a key component to my life now and I question almost every activity against the parameter of energy and fulfilment.
“if it ain’t fun, it ain’t good”…. there must be someone who loves the stuff I hate.
anyway, this message to the world – “hello world” – is to get me committed to get the website update done asap.
On my way to London meeting mighty Frank Garon, initiator of the London www.InternetSuccessBootcamp.co.uk. We had a good chat and have talked about running product creation workshops together in London in 2008. I have set my targets now for next year after sitting with the accountant for a few hours yesterday.
Workshop coming up tomorrow and I will, for the first time, offer a continuancy programme to the delegates and a product creation bootcamp in January 2008. I will post on update next week.
I have also bought an imac for Sidd http://www.apple.com/imac/ !! great machine… that’s how life should be… wrote a song and had heaps of fun.
It’s Sunday morning, just getting ready to take my son to football (did you see the rugby last night btw? – awesome!) and I just got a text from Shan that his laptop has given up… so I quickly wrote a broadcast message from aweber, where we manage our contacts of www.YourNetworkingClub.com and I was once again amazed how easy it is these days to stay in touch with people, business or personal.
I then sent another message to my whole list (aprt from the 25000 dog lovers of course!) and within 10 minutes over 7000 got an email and it didn’t even cost me a bean to do that.
If you don’t already use listbuilding as part of your business strategy, no matter what business (or hobby) you are in, I urge you to include it in your skill set.
Here come a plug, but you can learn it anywhere of course! I run a 1 day seminar and a 2 day workshop where you can master this stuff with the help of my team…. www.SecretShortcuts.com
alright. Even the lazy have to get up sometimes… this is me excited about flying off to the US to get trained by T Harv Eker’s Peak Potentials. The event was amazing. Talking about SecretShortcuts…. (get it?). No seriously, anyone in training or public speaking can learn so much there… you will be able to tell when you see me next time. I am a better trainer now! No achievement without sacrifice.
I have done 1 and a half days now of the trainer certification with Peak Potentials and I have to say that the guys here really know exactly what they are doing. one of the most important breakthroughs I experienced was to understand that the context and the system are more imprtant for a successful training than the content.
The days are quite intense. Yesterday we worked from 9am until 0:30 but did some very cool exercises. We had to model famous people’s speeches ( I had to do Martin Luther King’s last speech the night before he was killed). Once you perfected the speech, you could feel the energy of the actually person and his mental and emotional state. I reminded me very much of the modeling exercise with Tony Robbins at the UPW.
Looking forward to the rest of the days and to start using this information in my future course design.
Met this vey cool dude Greg Cesar at the weekend. He uses the analogy of the Rubik’s cube… amazing…. there are literally billions of possibilities to get to the ‘completed’ rubik’s cube, but if you know the formula you can do it again and again in no time…. even with your eyes closed.
what a weekend… I have spent morning til night at the ISB, the internetsuccessbootcamp.co.uk in London and it was awesome…. somehow I was ending up more behind the scenes interviewing the gurus and do-rus than being in the room myself, but the quality of information and level of speakers was amazing. I personally have not seen or heard anything like it in the UK before. Here are some of the pics that were taken during the interviews…. (many more to come)
Armand Morin and a happy Daniel Wagner
Mike Filsame and a perplexed Daniel Wagner (’my list is about that big’)
Anik Singhal and a chipmonk-faced Daniel Wagner
Marlon Sanders and a ‘this is amazing’ Daniel Wagner
Frank Garon and a ‘you’re holding me too tight’ Daniel Wagner
I will share some more stuff from the ISB soon, but I have to get going and pack for the US. Can’t wait to land in NY… I am doing the T Harv Eker ‘train the trainer’ certification….
PS: just in case you are not sure what a Do-ru is, that’s a guru who actually does what he says! (Learned that from David Kavanagh)
